News - The Fed Lowers Interest Rates

The Federal Reserve has announced its first interest rate cut in 4 years of 0.5% (larger than the Fed's typical 0.25% cuts in the past). The chair of the Fed stated: “This recalibration of our policy stance will help maintain the strength of the economy and the labour market and will continue to enable further progress on inflation as we begin the process of moving towards a more neutral stance.” We will continue to monitor what this means for the market and our clients, with hopes for additional cuts in the future, as the Fed has alluded to.
